Project - List

Depending on your role, the projects included in the project list will vary as follows:

• Administrators and HR Administrators -- have access to all projects

• Project Managers and their Alternates  --  All projects for which this user is explicitly assigned as a Primary or Alternate Project Manager.  All projects which this user may be able to see as a global alternate to another Project Manager.  All projects belonging to a project organization to which this user has Organization Access enabled where those projects are configured to allow access to anyone having Organizational Access to that project.

• Project Leads and their Alternates – All projects for which this user is explicitly assigned as a Primary or Alternate Project Lead.  All projects which this user may be able to see as a global alternate to another Project Lead.  

• Project Requestors and their Alternates – All projects for which this user is explicitly assigned as a Primary or Alternate Project Requestor.  All projects which this user may be able to see as a global alternate to another Project Requestor.  All projects belonging to a project organization to which this user has Organization Access enabled where those projects are configured to allow access to anyone having Organizational Access to that project.

• Resource Planners and Assigners and their Alternates  --  All projects for which this user is explicitly assigned as a Primary or Alternate Resource Planner or Assigner.  All projects which this user may be able to see as a global alternate to another Resource Planner or Assigner.  All projects belonging to a project organization to which this user has Organization Access enabled where those projects are configured to allow access to anyone having Organizational Access to that project.

• Project Approvers and their Alternates – All projects for which this user is explicitly assigned as a Primary or Alternate Project Approver.  All projects which this user may be able to see as a global alternate to another Project Approver.  

• Customers and their Alternates – All projects for which this user is explicitly assigned as a Primary or Alternate Customer.  All projects which this user may be able to see as a global alternate to another Customer.  

• Time and Expense – Self Assign, Open  Self-Plan, and those projects to which this user is assigned  (there is no consideration for time or expense alternates on the project list)

Further, the following describes who has access to the various icons on the list:

• View --

• • Project Managers, Resource Planners, Resource Assigners, Resource Requestors, and Project Viewers: all projects belonging to a project organization to which this user has Organization Access enabled where those projects are configured to allow access to anyone having Organizational Access to that project organization (for their role).

  • Project Managers, Project Leads, Resource Planners, Resource Assigners, Resource Requestors, Project Approvers, and Project Viewers: for those projects to which the user has an explicit Project Administrator association.  Also, for those projects which one of these users alternates has access.

• Task --

• • Project Managers:  all projects belonging to a project organization to which this user has Organization Access enabled where those projects are configured to allow access to anyone having Organizational Access to that project organization (for their role).

  • Project Managers and Project Leads: for those projects to which the user has an explicit Project Administrator association.  Also, for those projects which one of these users alternates has access.

• Delete --  

• • Project Managers: all projects belonging to a project organization to which this user has Organization Access enabled where those projects are configured to allow access to anyone having Organizational Access to that project organization (for their role). Additionally, for those projects to which the user has an explicit Project Manager association.  Further, for those projects which one of these users alternates has access.

• Edit --

• • Project Managers, Project Leads, Resource Planners, Resource Assigners, Resource Requestors, Project Approvers and Customers: All projects for which this user is explicitly assigned as any Primary or Alternate Project Administrator.  All projects which this user may be able to see as a global alternate to another Project Administrator.  All projects belonging to a project organization to which this user has Organization Access enabled where those projects are configured to allow access to anyone having Organizational Access to that project.
